Regarding the Shakespearean play that you chose to watch over the weekend, I want you to pick a pivotal monologue and analyze it meaning (as if it was one you had to write about on an AP test.) Act IV, Scene vi: Glouster thinks he is being lead to a cliff so that he can commit suicide. Poor Tome (Edgar in disguise) 'leads' him and pretends that Glouster was 'saved.' Later King Lear arrives, still a bit kooky, but seems to be making more sense. This scene is important to the theme of forgiveness. Explain how. Label the subject KING LEAR - FORGIVENESS
